Abhayanand Singh is the Chairperson of Singapore South Asian International Film Festival (Sg.SAIFF) and is the Group CEO for Vistas Media Capital Pte. Ltd. (VMC), based in Singapore. With a rich work experience, and knowledge across industries namely banking, finance, pharmaceuticals, art, furniture, software and media, Abhayanand Singh is well acquainted with the corporate environment with special expertise in managing investments for HNIs (High Net Worth Individuals).
More recently however, he has been working independently overseeing a family business with a group of investors, straddling a love for cinema with his entrepreneur skills. He has dealt in equities, bonds, options, currencies and other alternative asset classes. He is the Chief Executive Officer for the globally funded VOD (Video on Demand) platform, dedicated to ‘Indie Cinema’
He has co-produced & distributed the Hollywood-French-Indian coproduction “The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir” (Dhanush), He has also co-produced feature films “Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai” (Manav Kaul), “JL 50” (Abhay Deol), Tamil Film – “Maadathy”, “Bhonsle” (Manoj Bajpayee) and “AB aani CD” (Amitabh Bachchan, Vikram Gokhale).

Piiyush Singh

Co-chairperson​

Piiyush Singh is the Co-Chairperson of Singapore South Asian International Film Festival (Sg.SAIFF) and he is the India Partner of Vistas Media Capital and runs the India business of Development & Production of Feature Films, Short Films and Web Series. He has over 10 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry with a production experience of more than 500 hours of content.
Piiyush Singh has produced prestigious short films such as ‘Taandav’ and ‘Kriti’ which have won many international awards. He has also produced a web series titled, “Cyber Squad” for Alt Digital, the web platform of Balaji productions.
He has co-produced & distributed the Hollywood-French-Indian co-production “The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir” (Dhanush). He has co-produced feature films ‘’Nakkash’’, ‘’Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai’’ (Manav Kaul), “JL 50” (Abhay Deol), Tamil Film – “Maadathy”,‘’Bhonsle’’(Manoj Bajpayee) and “AB aani CD” (Amitabh Bachchan, Vikram Gokhale).

Urmila Dasgupta

Creative Director

Urmila Dasgupta has spent over a decade in the publishing industry. She has worked for publishing houses such as Rupa, Katha, Penguin Books India, Pearson India and Oxford University Press, honing book ideas and mentoring authors. Subsequently she set up her own literary agency Purple Folio and worked on diverse genres.
Her bestselling author Judy Balan’s Nina series was picked up by Harper Collins US and she was the official agent in India for one of America’s largest literary agency, Inkwell Management. She brings her expertise on content now to the visual formats.
Ideating on how to adapt books to screen, working with script writers to create the final product, mentoring young writers and curating projects for producers and investors, are now the areas in which she is actively involved. Over the last few years she has been working with production houses to pitch story ideas to directors, actors and OTT platforms.

Intikhab Chougle

Intikhab is spearheading the company’s initiative of blockchain based equity crowdfunding platform globally. Intikhab has over 20 years of experience across Investment Management, Real Estate and Technology PE Investments. He has worked with Telecom Companies like Vodafone, with Banks like HSBC and has been an entrepreneur for the last few years with specialised expertise across various industries including Media & Entertainment. Intikhab has a proven track record of successfully building and executing strategies for new businesses, strong understanding of new technologies and executing complex operational models with ease.
Intikhab is based in Mumbai (India) and has also been an advisor to a number of South Asian Private Investors actively seeking Alternative Investment opportunities across high growth sectors.

Kundan Kumar

SAFM - COORDINATOR

Kundan being an accomplished actor and a great learner, is a part of the Indian Film & TV Industry for a long time. Kundan has successfully done his Mass Media & Communication before taking a plunge into the world of Entertainment.
In last few years, Kundan has gathered vast experience as a Film Festival Advisor. His films have travelled almost to all major International Film Festivals ie Bhonsle, Nakkash, Maadathy to name few.
Since 2018, Kundan is the festival manager of Singapore South Asian International Film Festival (Sg.SAIFF) and the Film Market Co-ordinator for South Asian Film Market (SAFM).

Hemant Mehta

Head of Marketing and Business Development

Hemant is the Head of Marketing and Business Development at South Asian Film Market.
He comes on board with an experience 18 years spent in different sectors. He has spent over a decade in media and entertainment marketing business ideating and executing marketing / activation campaigns of various national brands. Next half a decade he worked in socio-political space with a national political party focused towards rehabilitation of women crime victims in Mumbai.
He became an entrepreneur about 3 years back starting a Non-profit that has been now actively engaged in rural development sector of Punjab and Haryana with programs impacting education management, solid waste management and agriculture management.
His documentary “Odyssey in Epoch” in 2011 about the koli community in Mumbai instigated the 1st of the beach clean-up drives in the city. His second documentary ‘High Haryana’ captures the story of five village girls, aged 10-14, planning and implementing a solid waste management program in a village in rural Haryana.
